Simon Hayhurst and Summer Roberts, two San Francisco-area singles who met at a HurryDate party, married on April 13, 2004 in Cambridge, England (home of the groom’s alma mater). The pair met at an event on January 15, 2003 at the venue Whisper and has been inseparable ever since.Simon and Summer were both excited about HurryDating for the first time, but neither could have predicted where their HurryDate would lead. “We both signed up because we wanted to try a fun way to meet new people,” says the couple. “How could we have predicted each of us would meet the love of our life?”
A fairytale romance filled with holidays in exotic destinations and indulgent bliss led to the picture-perfect proposal at the end of a rose-lined trail leading atop a mountain overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. On bended knee, Simon received a gushing “yes” from Summer and whisked her away to a dreamy weekend of pampering and celebration at the elegant Clift Hotel.
As Simon and Summer discovered, boring, stuffy dates are a thing of the past for singles looking to meet new people with HurryDate. This new approach to dating involves a weeknight at a popular bar, dozens of fun-loving singles and 25 three-minute dates in one night.

After each three-minute date, the host blows a whistle. The HurryDaters indicate on a SCOREcardTM whether they would like to see that person again, enter their picks online, and HurryDate’s matching software calculates the results. From there it’s up to you!
“You should be able to tell if there is chemistry or an attraction, and certainly if you don’t like them in your three minutes with each person,” says Testani.
