What's Speed Dating?

Speed dating is a newer form of dating which has become very popular. It’s a fun way to meet people, and a great social outing. It's sometimes referred to as round robin dating, 8 minute dating, 3 minute dating, 25 dates, hurry dates, fast dates, quick dates, or mini dates.

Speed dating events, or parties, are organized and hosted by the company you sign up with, so the event is fun, safe and secure. They provide signup sheets organized by city, date, time, and sometimes age or sexual preference. The parties are usually held at fun cool places such as a trendy local bar, and organized so you’ll meet lots of people on a bunch of live face-to-face mini dates.

At the event, or party, you talk to a single man or woman for a fixed amount of time. When the time is up, you go on to meet the next single. Each mini date ranges from around 3 to 8 minutes in length. Depending on the length of the evening, you can have about 7 to 25 quick dates in one night. Speed dating events are held in cities all over the world, so you can join a quick date event in your city (or in the closest large city to you).

After your speed dating event, you can log into the online speed dating web site, and contact the singles you met and liked from the previous night.
